Lovespoons WalesThe History Of The Welsh Lovespoon |

No one can be sure when the first Lovespoon was carved, but the earliest known Lovespoon, can be found in the Museum of Welsh Life in Cardiff.
Whilst the Lovespoon was carved by the man for the woman whom had caught his eye, there are no indications to suggest that acceptance of the Lovespoon, symbolised an early form of engagement.
Many symbols are used, some traditional, some not, but all convey a particular message. Many Lovespoons available now, are mass produced and machine made. All the Lovespoons you will see here, and also on the websites, lovespoons-wales.co.uk, romantic-weddingfavours.co.uk, welshlovespoons.co.uk are hand carved to order, and thus, no two Lovespoons will ever be the same, making your gift unique. Lovespoons can be designed with you, and for you, so that your gift will not only be unique, but will convey the exact message you wish to pass on. |
